The company is formed in the year 2002 under the necessity to create an aggregated value on coal, to better improve the market conditions and the product economy. Its constitution is consolidated in the year 2004 by a young Colombian working team; it is in this year that the commercial and industrial activities are started.

The company has several exploitation licenses 240 km north of Bogota, allowing our company to exploit low, mid and high volatile metallurgical coals, as well as steam coal.

* Our coking plant has a coke production of 2000 mt/month, and a projected production of 5000 mt/month in 3 years.

ENVIRONMENT:

The mining areas are environmentally licensed and authorized and the mining activity is signed under the mining registry in the local regulatory agency. The company follows up all the standards imposed by the national government to this exploitation.

The coking plants are built under the environmental standards and conditions imposed by the local authority to watch for the region environmental conditions.

ANDINA Ltd is currently involved into a coal washing plant construction project, to reduce ashes content on coal to 8% and sulphur content to 0,9 to 1,1%.
